Sales Invoice

Menu Sales → Sales Invoices (`/invoice/sales-invoices`). Create tax inclusive or exclusive invoices, save Draft or Approve, collect via Payment In, issue Return / Credit / Debit notes, and generate E-Invoice or E-Waybill when Iris is linked. Raise invoices from Sales Order, Proforma, or Item card.

Compliance

E-Invoice & E-Waybill

From a Sales Invoice row you can Print or Generate E-Invoice and E-Waybill. These need Iris GST portal onboarding first — configure under Settings, then use the actions on approved invoices.

Row actions

  • On Sales Invoice list row: E-Invoice / Print E-Invoice / Generate E-Invoice (labels as shown)
  • Same pattern for E-Waybill — print or generate from the row
  • Status tags on the list show when E-Invoice / E-Waybill are linked
  • Prefer Approved invoices before generating compliance documents

Before you generate

  3. 3Confirm invoice party GSTIN and State are correct
  4. 4Approve the Sales Invoice, then run Generate / Print E-Invoice or E-Waybill

If generate fails, re-check Settings e-invoice connection and party GSTIN. PDF Print still works independently of E-Invoice IRN.

Frequently asked

Why are E-Invoice actions disabled?+

Usually Iris GST portal is not onboarded yet, or the invoice is still Draft. Complete Settings onboarding and Approve the invoice. See E-Invoice.

E-Invoice vs E-Waybill?+

E-Invoice issues IRN for eligible B2B invoices. E-Waybill covers goods movement when value/distance rules apply. Both can start from the Sales Invoice row after portal link.

Is Print E-Invoice the same as invoice PDF?+

No. Invoice Print/Share is your Billoxy PDF. Print/Generate E-Invoice uses the GST e-invoice flow after onboarding.
