What information should an invoice include?

A GST-compliant invoice in India must include the supplier's name, address, and GSTIN, a unique sequential invoice number, the invoice date, the buyer's details, HSN or SAC codes, a description of goods or services, the taxable value, the applicable tax rate split into CGST, SGST, or IGST, and the total invoice value, since Rule 46 of the CGST Rules treats a missing field as grounds to reject the recipient's input tax credit claim. Getting even one field wrong can cause a mismatch between the supplier's and buyer's GST returns. Billoxy's GST Invoicing Tool auto-populates every one of these mandatory fields and validates them before the invoice is sent, so you're not manually cross-checking a compliance checklist on every bill.
