Menu Definitions → Parties (`/definitions/parties`). Manage customers and suppliers, import from Excel, see Outstanding Collection / Payment / Balanced, and open Party Transaction Details for Payment, Collection, Add Payment/Collection, and Remittance.
What is Party?
Party is the Billoxy master for every business contact — customers you sell to, suppliers you buy from, or contacts that do both — so invoices, payments, and balances stay linked to one record.
Why Party matters
- One master for Customer, Supplier, or Customer + Supplier
- Stores phone, GSTIN, addresses, banks, contacts, PAN, opening balance, and category
- Shows Party Balance — Outstanding Collection, Outstanding Payment, or Balanced
- Reused on Sales Invoice, Purchase Invoice, expenses, and Payment In / Payment Out
- Open Party - Transaction Details for the full ledger — Payment, Collection, Add Payment/Collection, Remittance (via Cash / Bank)

After phone-only signup you can define parties before finishing onboarding — so your contact list is ready when invoicing unlocks.
Frequently asked
Is Party only for customers?+
No. Set Party Type to Customer, Supplier, or Customer + Supplier on create/edit.
Do I need GSTIN for every party?+
No. You can save with phone and state; GSTIN is optional and can look up details from the GSTN portal when provided.
