Menu Cash/Bank → Bank Accounts (`/definitions/bank-account`). Create bank accounts, open Transaction Details for Collection, Payment, Cash Transfer, and Other Bank Process, and optionally compare statements from the grid.

Balance

Balances Explained

Bank Balance on the list, per-account card balances, Opening Balance on create, and the running Balance column on history all tell the same money story at different levels.

Where balance appears

  • Bank Balance strip on Bank Accounts — total across accounts
  • Flip card back — balance per account (with currency sign)
  • History header strip — balance for the open account
  • History column Balance — running balance after each transaction
  • Create form: Opening Balance, Opening Balance Date, Balance Amount
  • Dashboard Account Details — Bank (and Cash) summary cards

What changes the balance

Increases

Collection, Inflow Other Bank Process, transfers into this account, Opening Balance.

Decreases

Payment, Outflow Other Bank Process, transfers out of this account.

Currency

Multi-currency accounts show conversion helpers (Account Currency / Amount in Account Currency).

Tip

Reconcile by exporting Bank Account - Transaction Details and matching running Balance to your bank statement — fix gaps with Collection, Payment, Transfer, or Other Bank Process.

Frequently asked

Is Bank Balance the same as Dashboard Total Profit?+

No. Bank Balance is cash in bank accounts. Total Profit on Dashboard is sales − purchases − expenses (P&L style).
