Menu Cash/Bank → Cash Accounts (`/definitions/cash-account`). Create and manage petty cash accounts with balance and currency. From history record Collection, Payment, and Cash Transfer (shared with Bank and Party ledgers).

Balance

Cash Balances Explained

Overview strip, card Balance, Opening Balance Amount on create, and the running Balance column on history all describe petty cash at different levels.

Where balance appears

  • List overview strip — total/cash KPI from live data
  • Card Balance — per petty cash account with currency sign
  • History header strip — balance for the open cash account
  • History column Balance — running after each row
  • Create form: Opening Balance Amount and Opening Balance Date
  • Dashboard Account Details — Cash next to Bank, To Collect, To Pay

Tip

Reconcile till cash by exporting Cash Account - Transaction Details and matching running Balance to physical cash count.

Frequently asked

Is Cash Balance the same as Total Profit?+

No. Cash Balance is money in petty cash. Total Profit on Dashboard is sales − purchases − expenses.
