Menu Cash/Bank → Cash Accounts (`/definitions/cash-account`). Create and manage petty cash accounts with balance and currency. From history record Collection, Payment, and Cash Transfer (shared with Bank and Party ledgers).
Payment (Money Out)
Payment records money leaving petty cash — Party, optional invoices, Date, Payment Amount, and Description in Create Payment.
Open Payment
- 1Card menu → Payment, or history → New Transaction → Payment
- 2Modal: Create Payment (edit: Edit Payment)
- 3Or Payment Out → New Payment with Cash/Bank Account choice
All Payment fields (from cash)
- Receipt / Document No.
- Cash Account — readonly for the open ledger
- Party (required) — supplier/contact from Party
- Invoices — bills to settle
- Date
- Payment Amount + currency conversion box
- Description
- When choosing source elsewhere: From Petty Cash (Cash) or From Bank (RTGS, NEFT, IMPS)

Collection vs Payment
Collection
Money in — Received Amount — increases cash.
Payment
Money out — Payment Amount — decreases cash.
Balance
Both update running Balance on Cash Account - Transaction Details.
Keep petty cash payments small and described clearly — larger supplier payouts often belong on Bank → Payment.
