Stock

Menu Inventory → Stocks (`/definitions/stocks`). Record Stock In and Stock Out with product, qty, unit, date, and description. You can also adjust stock from Items via Bulk Stock Adjustment.

Types

Stock Out Types

Stock Out decreases warehouse quantity. Classify movements as Usage Slip, Scrap Slip, or Reduce Stock so consumption and write-offs stay clear.

What Stock Out means

  • Adjustment type: Stock Out
  • Route: New Stock Adjustment → Stock Out → Create Stock Transaction
  • Transaction Type dropdown loads outbound receipt types for Stock Out
  • List filters commonly include Usage Slip, Scrap Slip, and Reduce Stock
  • Same line layout as Stock In — Item Name, qty, unit, price — Grand Total is emphasised on In; Out focuses on quantity leaving the warehouse

Materials or products consumed in operations (used up, not sold as an invoice line).

Write-off damaged, expired, or unusable stock.

General decrease / correction downward (also Reduce Stock in Item Bulk Stock Adjustment).

Related types on Item history

  • On Item Transaction History you may also filter Scrap, Usage, Input, Opening Slip, Cycle Count Surplus / Deficit, and document types (sales/purchase invoices)
  • Those history filters mix manual warehouse slips with document-driven stock effects
  • Manual create on Stocks remains Stock In or Stock Out with the receipt types your tenant exposes

Tip

Scrap and usage should use clear Description / Category so audits can separate write-offs from production consumption.

Stock Out vs selling on an invoice?+

Sales invoices reduce stock through billing (Sales Invoice). Stock Out is for non-sale warehouse exits (usage, scrap, reduce). Keep products defined in Item so both paths hit the same catalogue.
