Menu Inventory → Stocks (`/definitions/stocks`). Record Stock In and Stock Out with product, qty, unit, date, and description. You can also adjust stock from Items via Bulk Stock Adjustment.
Warehouse Stock Movements
The Stocks page manages stock movement in the warehouse — every Stock In and Stock Out adjustment that changes quantity — so your shelves stay aligned with the books.
Stocks vs Item master
- Stocks (`/definitions/stocks`) — warehouse movement ledger: create/edit Stock In / Stock Out
- Item — product master + Bulk Stock Adjustment; purchase/sales docs also move qty via Purchase Invoice / Sales Invoice
- Lines on a stock transaction pick products from your Item catalogue (search by name, code, or barcode)
- Finished goods production also affects stock via Manufacture
- Party is managed under Party; the Stocks create form focuses on items and quantities (not a full party picker)
- From an item’s Transaction History you can also jump to New → Stock In / Stock Out — same create screens

Ideal warehouse uses
Stock In
Opening stock, add stock, and input slips that increase warehouse quantity.
Stock Out
Usage, scrap, and reduce stock that decrease quantity for consumption or write-off.
Full list
Filter by adjustment type and transaction type; export or delete approved In/Out rows.
With Items & docs
Define products on Item, bulk-adjust there, post slips here, and expect qty changes from Purchase/Sales Invoice and Manufacture.
Define products under Item (with units and optional barcode) before heavy stock posting — line pickers resolve faster and labels scan into invoices later.
Frequently asked
Is Stocks the same as Item Stock Details?+
No. Item Stock Details sets opening balance and Low Stock Balance on one product. Stocks is the transaction list for warehouse Stock In / Stock Out movements. See Item for the master and Bulk Stock Adjustment.
Do I select a party on Stock create?+
The Create Stock Transaction form centres on Item Name lines, dates, and transaction type. Manage customers/suppliers in Party; use them on invoices and payment/collection ledgers.
