Menu Inventory → Items (`/definitions/items`). Define products and services with prices, units, HSN/SAC, GST, stock types, barcodes, Excel import, Items Library, Bulk Stock Adjustment, and Generate Sales Invoice from cards. Open item transaction history for movements.

Barcode Generation & Labels

Inside each item, Barcode Details lets you enter or Generate Barcode, preview the label, and print or download sheets in standard label sizes.

Where barcode lives

  1. 1Open Add Item or Edit for a Product or Service
  2. 2Go to the Barcode Details tab
  3. 3Click + Add Barcode Details or Manage Barcode
  4. 4Modal title: Barcode

Generate and manage

  • Field: Enter Barcode — type an existing code or leave empty to generate
  • Action: Generate Barcode — Billoxy creates/validates a barcode for the item
  • Preview shows the barcode image, or No Barcode when empty
  • Delete removes the barcode from the item when you no longer need it

Sheet size 52 × 19mm — dense packing for small stickers.

Sheet size 67 × 21mm — default-friendly mid size.

Sheet size 70 × 21mm — larger labels; set No of Labels as needed.

Print or download

  1. 1Set Enter size (48 / 24 / 12 Labels) and No of Labels
  2. 2Use Print PDF or Download PDF once barcode and size are set
  3. 3On invoices, use Scan Barcode → Add product by scanning to pull an item into the bill by code
Tip

Generate barcodes when you create the item, then print a sheet before stocking shelves — Scan Barcode on invoices will resolve faster once codes exist on the master.

Frequently asked

Can services have barcodes?+

Yes. Barcode Details is available for Product and Service. Stock Details remains product-only.

Where do I scan at billing time?+

On the invoice screen use Scan Barcode — that adds a line from the code; generation and label print stay on the item master.
