Menu Inventory → Items (`/definitions/items`). Define products and services with prices, units, HSN/SAC, GST, stock types, barcodes, Excel import, Items Library, Bulk Stock Adjustment, and Generate Sales Invoice from cards. Open item transaction history for movements.

Create & Edit

Edit, Copy & Change Status

Edit Product or Edit Service opens a read-only summary first — then the same fields as create, plus Copy, Active/Inactive status, and Product Cost for finished goods.

Edit flow

  1. 1List ⋮ → Edit — title Edit Product or Edit Service
  2. 2Read-only Item Info shows prices, Base Unit, HSN Code, GST, CESS, Brand/Category, Stock Type, Item Status (ITM: code)
  3. 3Click the pencil to edit — Submit to save
  4. 4Manage Stock Details and Barcode Details from their tabs

Status, copy & locks

  • Row Change Status or edit radios Active / Inactive
  • Row Copy creates a new item from an existing master
  • If the item already has transactions, base unit / currency may be locked (hints explain why)
  • Bulk Delete from the selection bar with confirm: Are you sure you want to delete these items?

Prefer Inactive when you stop selling an SKU but still need history; use Delete for mistakes.
Tip

Finished Products on edit can show a Product Cost tab — Production Cost and Cost Calculation History from Manufacture orders — so unit cost stays auditable.

Frequently asked

Why can’t I change Base Unit?+

Once the item has stock or document transactions, Billoxy locks base unit (and related currency) so historical quantities stay consistent.
