Menu Inventory → Items (`/definitions/items`). Define products and services with prices, units, HSN/SAC, GST, stock types, barcodes, Excel import, Items Library, Bulk Stock Adjustment, and Generate Sales Invoice from cards. Open item transaction history for movements.

Item List & Overview

The Items list shows Item Summary KPIs, searchable table or grid, filters by type/stock type/status, and a bulk bar for delete, export, and Bulk Stock Adjustment.

Item Summary

  • Page title: Items under Definitions
  • Heading: Item Summary with Item Overview KPI cards
  • Subtitle: Compared to last quarter — card names and values come from live data
  • Primary CTA dropdown: Add New Item → Add New Item, Add From Library, Excel Import

Item Summary sits above the catalogue so portfolio health is visible before you filter rows.

List columns

  • Item Details — name and item code
  • Item Type — Product / Service (tags such as From Expense or From Tally when applicable)
  • Stock Type — Trading Product, Raw Material, Semi Finished, Finished Product (products)
  • Status — Active / Inactive
  • Unit, Quantity, Available QTY
  • Sales Price and Purchase Price
  • Actions — Edit, Change Status, Copy, Transaction History

Tip

Filter to Active products first, then select all visible rows before Bulk Stock Adjustment — so opening quantities only hit the SKUs you care about.

Frequently asked

What is Available QTY vs Quantity?+

Quantity reflects actual stock; Available QTY is the stock available for use (as returned by the API). Use both when planning sales vs reserved/held stock.

Can I change status in bulk?+

Items use row Change Status (or Active/Inactive on edit). Bulk bar focuses on Delete, Excel Export, and Bulk Stock Adjustment.
