Auto Schedule — Due Date Reminders

Define an auto schedule around due date so reminders go out 3 days before, on due day, and 1 day after — using WhatsApp, SMS, and Email for sales-order follow-up.

What the auto schedule does

  • Schedule reminders relative to the document due date
  • Three timing points: 3 days before due date, on due day, and 1 day after due date
  • Send through one or more channels: WhatsApp, SMS, and Email
  • Use it for sales-order follow-up when your team wants reminder communication around commitment / due timing
  • Once an order is converted or otherwise completed, reminder relevance should be rechecked by status and workflow rules

The schedule is based on date offsets and channels — not Web/Mobile/Desktop platforms.

Set up reminders (typical)

  1. 1Open Settings → Reminder (and WhatsApp templates under Settings → WhatsApp) for Unbill Order / due-date style schedules
  2. 2Choose the reminder moments: 3 days before, due day, and 1 day after
  3. 3Choose the delivery channels: WhatsApp, SMS, and/or Email
  4. 4Save the schedule and use preview/list status to follow which orders still need action
  5. 5When the order is converted or completed, verify reminders are no longer needed

How users should understand it

  • This is a due-date reminder schedule, not a 3-platform product setting
  • The important choices are the date offsets and the notification channels
  • Use it alongside Relative Invoice, status, and preview actions so old reminders do not continue after conversion
  • Teams can combine these reminders with customer-facing PDF sharing from preview

Reminder channels and preview share channels can overlap, but the schedule itself is defined by timing.
Tip

After converting to Sales Invoice, check status and Relative Invoice so due-date reminders (configured in Settings) do not keep firing for a finished sales order.

Frequently asked

Is this really about 3 platforms?+

No. The correct setup is 3 days before, on due day, and 1 day after, with channels like WhatsApp, SMS, and Email.

What are the channels?+

The reminder can send by WhatsApp, SMS, and Email. Users choose the channels that fit the sales follow-up flow.

Will drafts get emails?+

Usually teams focus reminders on active documents with meaningful due dates. Drafts are normally finished first via Create/Update — confirm the exact filter in your product settings.

Screenshots to add later: SO list table/card, create header (customer ref + Reserve), party filter Cust/Cust+Supp, sales price lines, reserve on item/stock, preview templates, Create Proforma/Quotation, Convert to Sales Invoice + status change, Relative Proforma/Invoice, reminder setup with 3 days before / due day / 1 day after and WhatsApp/SMS/Email channels.
