From the sales order, create a Proforma Invoice or Quotation based on the order — prefills customer, lines, and sales prices — then track it as a relative document on the same order.

Create Proforma / Quotation

  1. 1Open Sales Order Preview
  2. 2Click Create Proforma / Quotation (label as shown in product)
  3. 3Land on the proforma/quotation form prefilled from the order
  4. 4Review customer, lines, sales prices, tax — adjust if needed
  5. 5Save / Create the Proforma or Quotation
  6. 6Return to the order — Relative Proforma (or related docs) lists it

Why use Proforma/Quotation from SO

  • Send a formal quote or proforma without full Sales Invoice yet
  • Keeps numbering and PDF templates appropriate for quotation/proforma
  • Order remains the commitment; relative docs show what was issued
  • Later convert the order (or follow your flow) to Sales Invoice when billing
  • Reserve on the order can still hold stock while the customer reviews the proforma
