Menu Sales → Sales Orders (`/invoice/sales-order`). Commit customer orders with tax inclusive/exclusive pricing, optional stock reserve, preview/share, Generate Proforma Invoice or Generate Sales Invoice, and due-date reminders via WhatsApp, SMS, and Email.
Reserve Products in Inventory
When the user turns on the Reserve flag on the sales order, Billoxy keeps those product quantities reserved on the inventory side and shows them as reserved — so available stock for other sales drops until the order is fulfilled, cancelled, or released.
What Reserve does
- On create/edit header: enable Reserve / Product will be reserved
- On save (per product rules), line quantities are reserved against inventory
- Inventory / stock views show the reserved quantity for those products (not free available stock)
- Available QTY on items typically excludes reserved holds so other orders cannot oversell
- Reserve stays linked to this sales order until convert/fulfil/cancel flows release or consume it

Reserved quantity visible on inventory / item availability (see Stock & Item guides).
List / status
Orders with reserve may show reserved-related status or indicators.
On invoice
Converting to Sales Invoice typically consumes/fulfils reserved qty per stock rules.
Typical reserved-order flow
Use Reserve when promising scarce SKUs to a customer. Skip Reserve for soft quotes that should not block Available QTY — or use Proforma/Quotation without holding stock.
Frequently asked
Is Reserve the same as a stock Out movement?+
No. Reserve holds quantity for the order; stock In/Out and invoice fulfilment are separate. See Stock for warehouse movements and Item for Available QTY.
Can I reserve services?+
Reserve applies to inventory products. Services typically have no stock hold — product lines are what inventory shows as reserved.
